'His Greatest Quality Remains His Character'

In the pre-season of 2025, ex-manager Alonso called up Pitarch to train with the senior squad and gave him minutes in the warm-up matches.

Yet, it was the change in manager that proved the turning point in his development as he came on as a second-half replacement in each leg against the Portuguese side that led to the meeting with Pep Guardiola's team.

"I have dreamed of this every night when sleeping, the very first time I started playing the game, each day you head to training and every day you play a match," stated Pitarch after his debut.

"I've just achieved my dream with the greatest club in the planet and in the best competition."
