A female charged with stalking Kate McCann allegedly recorded her a recorded message which posed: "imagine I am Madeleine?"

Julia Wandelt, twenty-four, who witnesses stated has consistently claimed she was the missing Madeleine McCann, and her co-defendant are on trial accused with stalking Kate and Gerry McCann from June 2022 and February 2025.

On Monday, Leicester Crown Court learned communication data and data retrieved from phones logged Ms Wandelt persistently demanding Madeleine's mother for a DNA test during that period.

Call logs revealed Mrs Spragg had contacted using communication app to Mrs McCann to express the news outlets had depicted Ms Wandelt as "mentally unstable" but that she deserved to be treated respectfully in the period before the trip to the village, that area, in December 2024.
