The actor shared archival material from the film, remarking that he could not remember "one day without joy".
"The movie is about affection, allegiance and giving. Values that Rob cherished deeply. Which is among the many reasons he was the perfect person to direct it," Elwes continued.
He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, saying: "Claiming that they were a incredible duo would be an oversimplification. My heart still pangs every time I recall you." He ended with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."
