FC Barcelona Set to Play Historic Match at Renovated Camp Nou over the weekend

The club confirmed their first game will take place at the still-under-construction Camp Nou this Saturday. The club will host the Basque side in La Liga two and a half years following their departure to allow renovations to start.

“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited with 45,401 fans can be present as per the current authorization. After final construction, it will accommodate close to 105,000 fans, a rise from the old capacity. Officials confirmed finished work included an updated entryway for the team and new dressing rooms.

Recent Activities

The club conducted a fan-accessible workout inside the stadium in early November. The club said they were hoping for permission by UEFA to play their next home Champions League game versus the German side next month at Camp Nou. They have been hosting matches at the Olympic Stadium.
