A jet transporting Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was forced to make an emergency landing in the Britain on Wednesday after a crack was found in the aircraft's cockpit window, as stated by an announcement which verified that all passengers were secure.

"The jet touched down in accordance with standard protocol and all individuals on the flight, among them Pete Hegseth, is unharmed," a spokesperson said in a social media post.

The secretary was coming back from a quick journey to the city of Brussels at the time.

This event is not the initial instance that a US military aircraft carrying a high-ranking official has suffered technical problems.

Months ago, a American military jet carrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to Munich was required to turn back to Washington DC after experiencing a technical issue.
